part intrest free!!

i was doing really well with the credit card, but they added £70 in interest this month Frown

after seeing my debt chart on my kitchen cupboard, my son's gran has given me the money to pay off my credit card which is at 34.08% interest and my argos card which is at 29.9% interest and told me to pay her back at £50 a month interest free!! with this large interest out of the way i will be able to concentrate on my halifax overdraft Smile

    That is very generous, but so good for you since you won't have to pay those incredibly high interest rates! That means if you stick to your goal you will get those paid off much faster.

    How incredibly generous of son's gran to offer an interest free loan to rid yourself of a loan at a shocking 34.8% interest. Is your Halifax overdraft likewise at such a high rate? Sorry, we are aware you are in GB and I am woefully ignorant of credit and loans elsewhere. Do you see any signs the economy strengthening?

    I am so lucky and grateful that i have supportive people around me.

    Halifax charge £2 per day for overdrafts at over £1999.99 and £1 a day for overdrafts under that amount! i do have it on "control" for a year which means no charges will be added in that time!

    unfortunatley not Frown people are losing their jobs left, right and centre even the solicitors firm i work for is only just "hanging on". our conveyancing department at work is still dead the banks hardly lending any monies....i cant even get a 19% interest credit card with them!!!!

    two stories in the paper this week that has made me sad "gran jumps infront of a lorry and blames the government in a note as she couldnt afford to live" and one yesterday "man sets himself on fire after owing payday loan companies £1600" so sad, may they be at peace.

    Yikes. Those are very nasty interest rates. What a lovely thing for your son's gran to do.
